Edgar Allan Poe Visits Southlake Library

Once upon a midnight dreary, we were feeling light and cheery, going to an autumn show, to see Edgar Allan Poe.

The Southlake Public Library presents the Edgar Allan Poe on Thursday, September 19 at 6 p.m. in Southlake Town Hall on the third floor in rooms 3A-3D

This one-night performance will be bought to you by Broadway and film veteran Duffy Hudson.

You’ll be ravin’ about this haunting Edgar Allan Poe historical theater production as Hudson takes you on an historical journey about the American editor, writer and literary critic and his most famous works.

The Shadow of the Raven begins as Edgar Allan Poe rises from the scene of his mysterious death and continues as he pieces together the events of his life. Using a combination of biographical information and the dramatic interpretation of Poe’s literature; Annabel Lee, The Raven and The Tell Tale Heart, Hudson provides a unique, in-death theatrical experience of the life and works of one of America’s best-known and enigmatic personalities.

Registration is not required for this event. For more information, please contact the Southlake Public Library at 817-748-8243 or visit www.SouthlakePublicLibrary.com
