Nine Carroll Dragon Band Members to Perform on National Stage

The Carroll Dragon Band Staff is pleased to announce that nine Carroll Dragon Band members have been invited to perform in Indianapolis, Indiana at the 2020 Music For All – National Chamber Festival, presented by Yamaha March 12 -14.

The Carroll clarinet ensemble – composed of members Zoe Bishop, Ariana Carrasco, Ria Taluja, Bailey Koewing, Lauren Watson, and Phoebe James, and the Carroll bassoon trio – composed of members Kiera DiCesare, Drew Keady, and Diego Pena, submitted recordings last June and were adjudicated against other ensembles from across the United States. Only 12 chamber groups from across the entire country have been invited to perform at the time of this posting. Below is an excerpt from Music For All, announcing their invitation:

“Your selection is based on the recommendation of a distinguished panel of adjudicators. Your application and audition recordings were selected as one of the most outstanding in a record-setting year for total applications and audition submissions meeting or exceeding the national standard. Your ensembles were deemed to have achieved the level of musical performance and artistry worthy of being featured and celebrated on a national stage.

Performing at the 29th annual Music For All National Festival is a prestigious honor and achievement. We commend you and your students for your extraordinary commitment to excellence. We look forward to your performances as you model to the world the artistry and life-changing outcomes evident by your commitment to scholastic music education. It places the Carroll Senior High School Bassoon Trio and Clarinet Choir in the extraordinary position of receiving national attention and recognition for demonstrating quality music education.”
